Free Broadband for the Masses...

From BusinessWeek Online...

There's little debate whether the U.S. is a laggard in high-speed Internet access. About 40% of U.S. households surf the Net over so-called broadband connections. That's about half the rate in Korea and Japan. And it's significantly behind many countries in Europe. (Link - BusinessWeek Online)

Why there aren't any right-wing observational comedians.

Example:

You guys seen Brokeback Mountain? I actually thought it could've been a good movie. If one of the guys were a woman. And they were married. And practicing Christians. And they didn't outsource the directing to Taiwan.

Har-Har-Har!

Or have about this gem:

The other night my wife and I are watching Hannity & Colmes, and she goes, "I'm cold—let's turn up the heat." So I say, "Just put on a sweater." And she gives me this look that's like, No missionary sex in the marital interest of procreation for you! And I'm thinking, "Man, if only the pansy liberals let the military flex a little more muscle in the Middle East and force an effective European coalition, we might be able to dissolve the OPEC terrorists, gain some leverage over oil prices, and avert domestic crises like this." The fellas know what I mean!(Link - Right-wing comedians)

W0rm installs "Safety Browser" through IM's

This is genius. Once again, we here at the Realm don't condone such programming, but seriously, a worm that spreads through social networks & installs a fake browser? I can't help but say AWESOME.
Seen this browser? To bad, you're already infected. I guess it's safe to say, don't download anything from IM that you're not sure about. Idiot.

Quake3 in your browser thanks to Shockwave

Quake3 is fun, you say. But what I'd really like is to be able to play it at work, inside my browser. Well, it's as if your prayers have been answered. Actually, they have been. I just played it again, and it crashed while using Firefox, so you might want to use Explorer. Finally a use for Explorer.

From the NY Times...

The government has the legal authority to prosecute journalists for publishing classified information, Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzales said yesterday.(NY Times)

The arguement the government is putting forward is that it isn't about First Amendment rights... Additionaly, the goverment claims this is really about national security, & leaking things doesn't keep us secure. (Link - NY Times)
